For Soumya, her story started growing up in Kerala, where arts and crafts are a way of life. And Mytri Designs really pride themselves on staying true to the authentic craft and age old traditions that Soumya had grown up with and seen through generations in Kerala.

When it comes to sourcing and providing the products, working with local artisans throughout India and also suppliers here in London has always been the passion for the brand. Working with artisans ensures continuity of tradition and unique art forms and in the long run, provides support for local communities.

“The unique artistry displayed in each and every product not only reflects art forms which have been passed down through generations, but also shows our consistent high quality in all of our products”.

For Soumya on a weekly basis the work never stops in the effort to strive to make the process as sustainable as possible for both partners and community.

“We are always looking for new ways to better our planet. We use a wide range of eco-friendly materials for our products such as wood for our gift set boxes which can be repurposed after use. We use recycled brass, metal, and glass as raw materials for our products to give life and beauty to something that would otherwise be discarded”.
